WE think it was only a matter of time that beautiful slow Jo and its little sibling Mo became TV stars… And last Wednesday finally the big day was there! BAM! Our friends from the German TV channel NDR were in our office to have a look where it is all coming from and how we came up with the slow idea.

As both Jo and Mo somehow were a bit lazy in talking today we helped them out with answering the questions and also participated the show. But of course we were JUST THERE – the stars were Jo and Mo!

We are soooo proud and super excited to announce today that we just finalized the new slow model: After introducing slow Jo and slow Mo the little sibling, we are now ready to launch FAST JoMo!

As slow Jo and Mo it has only one hand. But this time the milli-second hand! We found that every moment is so special, that we need a better indication to actually be aware of every moment. And how can you be better aware of every moment if not with a milli-second hand!

Of course as this is quite a unique concept, it is unfortunately also cost intense… The starting price of fast JoMo will be around 1000 EUR. But you will definitely appreciate the new way of valuing EVERY single milli-second of the day!

And for those who are still reading this nonsence…. HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY!!! 😀

SLOW MADE IT INTO THE FAMOUS “EVERYONE WINS AT THE OSCARS” – GIFT BAG FOR THE SECOND TIME!

Like last year all acclaimed nominees in the main categories will get a slow.

The legendary gift bag goes to all nominees that don’t win an Oscar in the main categories on Feb 22 in order to ease their disappointment. It contains several unique hand picked items and the actors find it nicely presented in their hotel room after the event.

This time it’s our smaller model who was selected. And slow Mo will dress up super fancy for the gala: All in Black just with a pink hand.

Last year the concept of slow fascinated the Hollywood stars so much that the watch had to be included again, so even more stressed out actors can be slow now 🙂

Of course we send our best wishes to all nominees and hope it’s going to be one of the biggest days in there life. And if that does not work out the slow watch will help them to make every day of their lives even better.

What an exciting time! We just produced our first TV commercial and can’t hide it: we are sooooo proud!!!

But let’s start at the beginning. After quite a lot of creative work and planning, we finally headed to London in early October to get the thing rolling.
We met with our production company to discuss how the day of the shot should be organized and to make sure all the bobby cars, skateboards, bubble guns,… are there to make our film lots of fun.

So we decided to meet up in Pilmrose Hill, right on top of the peak. Puh, call time was already 8 in the morning and you know what the traffic is like in London… Pretty short sleep!

Unfortunately our driver – from London – must have forgotten about the rush hour traffic. No one there to pick us up at 7 in the morning. But no sweat! When we called him, he said „No worries, it says just another 15 minutes on my navi“. At that time we did not know that this means NOTHING in London. Because 15 minutes later, when we called again it was „Ahhhm, it’s still 15 minutes…“.

Well. Ok. Let’s take a cab 🙂

In no time there and saluted by some guy doing yoga. Good on him!

Finally arrived and the first stress in the morning survived, we also met our main actor Luke.

Not only fantastic looking, he is also a great guy and did an amazing job. With no fear at all and in the spirit of real urban cowboy he raced down hill on his super cool, green toy motorcycle with around 250 kmh – AT LEAST!

Okay, sometimes he might have been a biiiit too fast for himself and you know, you have to break an egg to make an omelette.

And if it gets dirty, we are of course stepping in and doing the dirty job ourselves!

After all we think that the result stands for it self. We are very thankful for everything!! We had such an amazing time and definitely have something to show now. But what do you think?

Today was the big day:
We went on a little road trip to our partner terre des homes in Osnabrueck to hand over the cheque of over 10K EURO (10.117,51 to be precise) from our charity special – the limited Brazil Edition!

Thanks to all of you for contributing to terre des hommes’ great program “A Chance to Play” that gives Kids in Brazil their right to play!

In short:
we created a very special watch edition by using 1950 Brazil Retro footballs and crafted watch straps out of them with our own hands.
We offered only 24 pieces for sale and you guys ordered all oft them within a few days!
Now the entire sales (not only the profit) went to terre des hommes and their program „A Chance to Play“ that provides support to kids in Brazil who really need it.

We are really proud that we are already able to support great charity projects like this in a significant way.

YES WE CAN-VAS!

But what exactly is this „canvas“ anyways? Of course we know that it is used to make sails. Also many of the most famous paintings have been created on this material. Furthermore it is used for high quality outdoor gear such as tents or backpacks. And this has a very good reason. Canvas is an extremely heavy-duty plain-woven fabric and it is made to last and perform in the roughest conditions.

Rough and creative – what an amazing combination! Something that slow can’t miss out on!

MAKING THE STRAP

How to make this…                                       Out of this…

We got our hands on some replicas of the footballs used in Brazil 1950. When we touched the ball we were amazed how soft and natural the leather is. And actually it had large enough panels to make fantastic watch straps out of them.

With a bit of help from some professionals
we started to craft 24 watch straps with our own hands.

There it was: the secret inside of this legendary football!
Hmmm, like this it was still not right to be used for a watch strap.

So how do we get rid of all the canvas lining on the inside?
Luckily, our friends had just the right machines to cut the ball into the right size pieces
and to remove everything that was not needed.

We finally had the perfect thickness,
but still no clue how to proceed…

Then we discovered a great stamping tool
that made it really easy to get the material into the right shape…
And for the first time it actually looked a bit like a watch strap!
But there was still quite a way to go…

After some rather complicated production steps that we will spare here,
we were finally able to stitch it all together and punch the holes!

And ready was the strap!!!
Doesn’t it just look fantastic on the watch?

Of course we also created a stunning new gift box for this limited edition,
to give you guys one more reason to make it the perfect present
to someone who is important to you.

THE CHARITY PROJECT

To ensure that the money we collect gets to the right people and does a lot of good,
we partnered up with the charity organisation terre des hommes.

They are running a great program called “A chance to play” that improves the lives of disadvantaged children and youth by linking opportunities for playing and sports with learning and training initiatives. Definitely something we want to support!

The money you spend on your limited slow Brazil edition will completely (100%) be used to build sports grounds and other projects where kids are going to have a great time.
